BIOGRAPHY

Teresa is SVP of Innovation for Circ, leading a fantastic team of scientists and engineers to make circular fashion a reality. Prior to joining the Circ team, Teresa had a 30-year career in pulp and paper with Mead, MeadWestvaco and WestRock. While most of her career has been in leadership positions in research and development of new paperboard-based packaging

solutions, she also has held roles in marketing, new business development and open innovation. Teresa holds a BS in Chemistry from Berea College and an MS in Analytical Chemistry from Ohio University.

Making Fiber-to-Fiber Recycling Reality – What it Takes to (Re)move Mountains of Waste

While great strides have been made in mechanical recycling of single-source textiles and chemical recycling pathways are getting more press these days, major gaps between the lab and commercial scale still exist for most of these solutions. We will share current technical development of Circ’s poly/cotton recycling process and how partnerships along the supply chain are proving critical to success in going from pilot to commercial volumes in such an established industry.
